    Your Switch will need an MSA compliant 10G SFP+ slot. The TEG-10MGBRJ100 is MSA compliant. TRENDnet does not incorporate any type of proprietary mechanisms. Please check with your Switch manufacturer to verify that they are not enforcing brand compliance....
