PC World asked end users to rate 9 networking hardware manufacturers on the following router quality metrics: Problem on Arrival, Any Significant Problem, Severe Problem, Ease of Use and Overall Satisfaction with Reliability. For each category, the respective manufacturer's rating is identified as Better Than Average, Average, or Worse Than Average.

TRENDnet was the only brand to score Better Than Average for the metric that identified if respondents had experienced Any Significant Problem with their router. TRENDnet tied for second place in the router quality survey, finishing ahead of 6 other router brands with only Average or Better Than Average scores for all quality categories.
