Hardwareluxx compared the features, specifications, and pricing of unmanaged 16-port Gigabit switches from four major networking brands. All reviewed products were similarly sized desktop switches with metal housings. Switch specifications were also similar between brands. TRENDnet's price-per-port was 20% lower than the nearest priced switch, and 60% lower than the most expensive brand. The maximum power consumption of TRENDnet's TEG-S16Dg is only 7.2 Watts—over three times lower than the next most efficient switch it this review, which consumes up to 24 Watts.
