The TU-ET10 connects 10Mbps network and the TU-ET100 seamlessly connect to either a 10Mbps Ethernet network or a 100Mbps Fast Ethernet network without any user intervention. Complying with IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3µ, and USB 1.0 specifications, it is designed to ensure the installation is quick and easy. Additional "hot swap" feature makes operation simpler than ever.

As a USB device, it removes the need to take up an ISA, PCI, or PC card slot to add LAN connectivity to a desktop or laptop computer. Installation and use are further simplified with out-of-the-box bus feature to connecting computer peripherals. There are no needs to open the case of their computer and to set IRQs. This feature represents the simplest way to network using IEEE 802.3 Ethernet or IEEE 802.3µ Fast Ethernet standards.

Power for this device is provided directly by the USB bus, eliminating the need for an external power adapter. It can be plugged into any USB host or hub port that provides 500mA current as defined in the USB specifications as a high-powered USB device.
