What is PreBoot Execution Environment (PXE)?

PreBoot Execution Environment (PXE) is an environment to bootcomputers          using a network interface. The firmware on the client computer tries to locate a PXE         Server to receive a bootstrap program. This ensures that client computer can boot            appropriate software images using appropriate configuration parameters.
