Some network cameras could be compromised to security vulnerabilities described in ICSA-17-124-01 (Improper Authentication, Password in Configuration), where remote attackers could potentially gain partial access to some administrator pages in the device configuration without the proper credentials, and obtain the administrator password to your device configuration. We strongly recommend that owners of all affected cameras (see list below) with hardware version v1.0R to upgrade to the latest firmware version.
The following is a list of affected cameras:
Where do I find the hardware version of my network camera?
For BULLET and DOME cameras: The device label is located on the bottom of the camera. If your hardware is listed as H/W: v1.0R, please update your firmware.
For TV-IP450PI and TV-IP430PI: The device label can be found by removing the left panel of the camera. The device label is located on the inside of the panel. If your hardware is listed as H/W: v1.0R, please update your firmware.
For TV-IP450P: The device label is located on the inner housing. You will need to remove the glass dome, looking on the inside of the housing to locate the device label. If your hardware is listed as H/W: v1.0R, please update your firmware. How do I upgrade the network camera’s firmware?
