What are console ports and what are they used for?
FAQ ID: 1155 Product: TK-802RUpdated:1/10/2007 8:01:35 PM
Console ports are used to connect your Keyboard, Video (Monitor), and Mouse for control over multiple PCs. Console ports tell us what type of connections are supported just by looking at the interfaces on the front of the KVM. Many KVM Switches feature VGA (Monitor) and PS/2 (Mouse and Keyboard) connection interfaces, but USB and DVI (Digital Video) interfaces are becoming more widely used within the industry.
