Managed Switches

TRENDnet’s managed Ethernet switches (managed gigabit switches, smart Ethernet switches) allow users to set configurations for network management, monitoring, and traffic controls. Different types of managed Ethernet switches offer differing levels of management. TRENDnet’s managed Ethernet switch product family includes L2/L2+ Managed Switches, Web Smart Switches, and EdgeSmart Switches.

Generally, L2/L2+ Managed Switches will offer the greatest amount of management capabilities, and EdgeSmart Switches feature just the most commonly used management features available. All TRENDnet managed switches feature an easy-to-use web GUI management interface.

For the most sophisticated networks, TRENDnet's Layer 2 Managed Switch solutions include pro-grade management features, such as CLI, PoE control, access control lists, VLAN, IGMP snooping, QoS, RMON, SNMP trap, and syslog for monitoring and flexible network integration.

TRENDnet’s most popular managed switch family is our Web Smart Switch group, supporting advanced managed switch features, such as traffic management controls, IP routing, VLAN, QoS, access controls, link aggregation, troubleshooting, SNMP monitoring, per port MAC restriction, and dynamic ARP inspection.

TRENDnet's EdgeSmart Switches feature just the most commonly used managed switch features, such as VLAN, IGMP snooping, QoS, and link aggregation. This helps to reduce unnecessary switch complexity and is a more cost-effective managed switch solution sufficient for many applications.

Select TRENDnet managed switches are compatible with TRENDnet Hive, an advanced remote network cloud management solution. TRENDnet Hive is designed to save users on both time and costs by simplifying and centralizing the management and monitoring of a network (or multiple networks) and networked devices.
