TRENDnet's TE100-S24plus is a high performance, auto-sensing 24-port NWay rack-mountable Fast Ethernet Switch. It is designed to eliminate unnecessary traffic and relieve congestion on critical network paths. With 10/100Mbps NWay technology, the TE100-S24plus automatically negotiates between 10Base-T and 100Base-TX network speeds, as well as half and full duplex modes. The TE100-S24plus also has a module bay for optional multimode SC type fiber module that allows connection to another fiber device up to 2Km away (in full-duplex mode). The auto MDI-II/MDI-X detection on each port automatically detects and corrects for crossover connection and allows direct switch-to-switch or switch-to-hub connection for your networking needs.

The diagram illustrates a network setup with various devices connected through different types of connections. The main components include two switches labeled TE100-S16plus and TE100-S24plus. The TE100-S16plus switch connects to servers with TE100-PCIs, a TW100-W1CA, a DSL/Cable Modem, and printers. The TE100-S24plus switch connects to servers with TE100-PCAs, a TE100-PCIWN, a modem/router, and printers. Both switches are connected to workstations with TE100-PCIWNs and TE100-PCIEs. The connections are color-coded to indicate different speeds: orange lines represent 100Mbps Fiber, blue lines represent 100Mbps, and black lines represent 10Mbps. The diagram also includes TE100-DXIs, TE100-CXEs, and TE100-S16plus devices connected to various workstations and servers.
