TRENDnet's PoE+ Wireless LAN Controller, model TEW-WLC100P, is designed to simplify management and setup processes for your access points. This new controller features seamless WiFi roaming, helping your devices stay connected when transitioning from one access point to another within the network. Fast BSS Transition, or fast roaming, along with Opportunistic Key Caching (OKC) ensures optimal roaming conditions for your mobile WiFi clients. Simultaneously manage up to 128 access points, perform batch firmware upgrades, and monitor network connection status. It supports both PoE and PoE+ devices with a 60W PoE power budget.

Seamless WiFi Roaming

802.11k provides a more efficient WiFi roaming environment by intelligently managing neighboring APs and passing mobile clients off to the next best access point; 802.11r and Opportunistic Key Caching (OKC) preauthenticates those WiFi clients with neighboring APs making for a fast and seamless transition.

Captive Portal

Create a customized web portal for users to authenticate using unique user names and passwords. Ideal for hotels, cafes, and businesses that want to provide public WiFi and manage wireless usage.

The network layout diagram shows the placement and connectivity of wireless access points and a wireless controller within an office environment. The office layout includes various rooms and workspaces, with access points strategically placed to provide wireless coverage throughout the area. The access points are connected to the wireless controller, which manages the network. The access points and the wireless controller are labeled and highlighted with blue circles to indicate their locations and coverage areas.
