TRENDnet’s TEG-S4000 is a standard modular chassis and the TEG-S4000i is a SNMP modular chassis. Both chassis have 4 available slots designed for a variety of switching modules to meet your network environment. With the flexibility of the switches, you will have the option to design the TEG-S4000 and TEG-S4000i according to specific network requirements.

The TEG-S4000 and TEG-S4000i offer modules designed for Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet networks. The modules are available in both copper and fiber solutions. In the Gigabit module category, the TEG-S4000/S4000i offers 1-port copper 1000Base-TX module, 1-port fiber 1000Base-SX module, and 1-port fiber 1000Base-LX module. In the Fast Ethernet module category, the TEG-S4000/S4000i offers 8-port 10/100Mbps switch module, 8-port 100Mbps fiber module with MT-RJ connectors, 4-port 100Mbps multi-mode fiber module with SC connectors, and 4-port 100Mbps single-mode fiber module with SC connectors. Network professionals can design and build the TEG-S4000/S4000i switch with the available modules according to the network requirements.

Network designers can achieve up 32 10/100Mbps switched ports by using four 8-port 10/100Mbps modular switches. The modular design provides greater flexibility for hardware expansion. The TEG-S4000i can be managed via Telnet, Console or Web browser for easy management and configuration. The TEG-S4000i features advanced network features such as SNMP, VLAN and QoS making the TEG-S4000i an ideal component for departmental or enterprise network solutions.
