TRENDnet’s 22Mbps Wireless Outperforms 11Mbps by 48.8%

Torrance, CA – September 13, 2002 — In a performance test by TRENDnet’s Networking Lab, TRENDnet’s 22Mbps Wireless products are proven to perform faster than the 11Mbps 802.11b Wireless standard. Testing was done in two parts, Wireless Bridge Mode and Access Point Mode. The throughput number for each test is an average of 10 trial runs.

In Access Point Mode, TRENDnet’s TEW-301PC 22Mbps CardBus Adapter and TEW-310APB Access Point combination performed 48.8% faster than the TEW-201PC 11Mbps PCMCIA Wireless Adapter with TEW-210APB Access Point.

In the Wireless Bridge Mode, TRENDnet’s TEW-310APB 22Mbps Access Point also performed 31.8% faster than the 11Mbps TEW-210APB.
