TORRANCE, CA - July 1, 1996 — TRENDnet announces the introduction of the TE-5040 & the TE-5080 Switching Hubs, to sustain our lead as the provider of the broadest line of Ethernet hubs. These new switching hubs, which are 4-port or 8-port respectively, provide our customers with the latest Ethernet switching technology.

With today’s fast paced technology and increasing speed in networking, one should realize that communication is one of the key success factors to any company’s expansion. Although there is the constant stress for a company to increase to 100Mbps technology, the cheaper option may be to simply acquire the 10Mbps switching hub. The TE-5040 provides 4 switched ports for the total of 40 Mbps bandwidth increase; and the TE-5080 provides 8 switched ports for total of 80Mbps bandwidth increase using existing category 3, 4 or 5 UTP/STP cabling.

The TE-5040 and TE-5080 use the latest Ethernet Switching technology to eliminate traffic bottlenecks in bandwidth-constrained client/server environment. They are the cost-effective way to increase and optimize current 10Mbps bandwidth without any additional equipment.
