How do I determine which TRENDnet SFP module will be compatible with my existing fiber cable?
FAQ ID: 4974 Product: TI-OBF711 (Version V1)Updated:9/4/2025 3:22:05 PM
You will need to identify the type of fiber cable you have. Whether it is multi-mode or single mode, if it is 62.5/125 µm or 50/125 µm, etc. Typically you can verify the cable type from the cable jacket, your network documentation or the specifications of the devices you currently have connected. After you have determined the type of cable you can find detailed product specifications on our website under the Products section and match the proper hardware to your existing cable.
