Rent-A-Center Implements “Easy-to-Configure” TRENDnet Print Servers into Existing Nationwide Infrastructure

Torrance, CA – June 21, 2004 – TRENDnet, a leading manufacturer of networking products worldwide, is proud to announce that it provided TRENDnet’s TE100-PS3+ print servers to the nation’s leading rent-to-own company, Rent-A-Center.

Rent-A-Center offers its customers name-brand products ranging from TVs and stereo systems to couches and home appliances on a convenient rent-to-own basis. At each of Rent-A-Center’s 2800+ locations, a TRENDnet TE100-PS3+ 3-port Parallel Print Server will connect Parallel Laser Printers to a local area network (LAN) – allowing staff to cost-effectively print customer rental agreements, business reports, and other documents.

This project was planned, coordinated, and implemented by High Touch, Inc. Ease-of-use was the deciding factor in High Touch’s decision to opt for the TE100-PS3+.

“We were looking for an affordable 3-port print server that was easy to configure and install. In order for us to maintain the shipping schedule, we needed a print server that was also quick to configure. The TE100-PS3+ enables Rent-A-Center to reduce its operating costs by reducing the need for multiple printers and toner/ink cartridges at each location. Symbolically, the project underscores Rent-A-Center’s robust commitment to laying a foundation for future success.
