What is a wireless Access Point?

TRENDnet wireless Access Point such as the TEW-410APB Plus is designed to bridge connections between wired and wireless networks. Desktop and laptop computers equipped with wireless network adapters can communicate on a network without wires connected to a Switch. An Access Point is a required network component for providing wireless network access to a wired network.
