How do I upgrade the firmware in the TV-M7?

Step 1: Download the firmware from our website here.

Extract the file and save it onto the root directory of an SD card.

Step 2: Turn on the TV-M7 and wait until it boots to the Main Menu

Step 3: Insert the memory card into the TV-M7.  The unit will detect the firmware and begin the firmware upgrade process automatically.

Step 4: When completed, please remove the memory card and power cycle the TV-M7.     
         
Step 5: Delete the firmware file on the memory card before the next use.

Warning!  If the firmware file is on the SD card and inserted in the TV-M7, every time you reboot the TV-M7 it will upgrade the firmware. Please make sure to delete the firmware file from the SD card after the firmware upgrade process.


Alternate Method:

Step 1:  Insert an SD card into the TV-M7 and then connect it to your computer via USB.

Step 2: Navigate to and select "PC Connection" in the TV-M7.

Step 3: The next three available drives will be the TV-M7.  The first available drive will be the SD card slot.  Download and copy the firmware file onto the root of this drive.   Download the firmware from our website here.

Step 4: After you have copied the file to the SD card press "ESC" on the TV-M7 or the remote to go back to the main menu.   The firmware upgrade process will automatically begin.

Step 5: When the firmware upgrade completes, remove the memory card and power cycle the TV-M7.

Step 6: Delete the firmware file on the memory card before the next use.

Warning!  If the firmware file is on the SD card and inserted in the TV-M7, every time you reboot the TV-M7 it will upgrade the firmware. Please make sure to delete the firmware file from the SD card after the firmware upgrade process.
