Can I connect a Gigabit fiber converter to a Fast Ethernet fiber converter?

The fiber connection is not auto-negotiable. You will need to pair a Gigabit fiber converter with a Gigabit fiber converter or a Fast Ethernet fiber converter with a Fast Ethernet fiber converter.
