A New Oval-shaped Design Frees TRENDnet from the Industry’s Stale Design Paradigm

Torrance, CA – March 31, 2004 – TRENDnet, a leading manufacturer of networking products worldwide, today announced a revolutionary new product design for its TRENDnet product line. After hearing news of other networking companies imitating TRENDnet’s metallic-blue product design, TRENDnet’s design team took on the arduous task of giving the TRENDnet product line an extreme makeover. Six months and $30,000 later, TRENDnet has unveiled an aggressively styled form-factor that is both idiosyncratic and remarkably functional.

Each new TRENDnet product will still be cased in the universally popular metallic-blue color but will sport an oval profile. The hipper shape will help distinguish TRENDnet’s products from other vendors’ hackneyed box-shaped products. The new design will also more prominently feature TRENDnet’s logo, which will be heavily embossed on the top of each product.

Another revolutionary design element is the addition of integrated side-mounts, which allow for multiple TRENDnet products to be stacked on each other. Because all TRENDnet products will conform to either of two sizes, it will be possible for users to securely stack different types of TRENDnet products. Users will be able to mount a TEW-231BRP wireless AP/router onto a TE100-S8P 8-port switch, for example. For users short on desktop space, the new product design allows for individual TRENDnet products to be positioned vertically on their oval ends.

The new product design will debut in approximately 3 months and will initially be available on the following TRENDnet products:
