By default, access to the camera requires authentication.  For security purposes, TRENDnet recommends that this feature remain enabled.   Please note that disabling this feature disables authentication prompts.

RTSP access: The camera supports three levels of RTSP access. 

• Digest: TRENDnet recommended.   The RTSP link prompts for authentication.  The password is encrypted and provides the best protection.
• Basic: The RTSP link prompts for authentication.  The password is transmitted in plain text.  This poses a possible security risk as it has the potential of being intercepted.
• Disable: The RTSP link does not require authentication

Note: Your RTSP player may limit the RTSP connection type.   Verify that your RTSP client supports your selected method.
