KB Questions
One of the ports of the TE100-S16/24/32plus has the Link LED on but the 100Mbps LED off. Is my port broken?
Can I connect the TE100-S16/24/32plus and another switch with two CAT 5 cables?
I connected two computers using the TE100-S16/24/32plus, and the LED display shows that there is network activity between my computers. However, when I go to My Network Places, I do not see the shared folders that I set up.
I daisy chained my TE100-S16/24/32plus with another switch that supports Auto-Negotiation and Auto-MDIX with a straight through cable. I also connected my router to the other switch. However, I still cannot receive an IP address.

No, only one patch network cable is required to cascade 2 Switches together. You will create a network loop by cascading 2 Switches using 2 Cat. 5 cables. Network communication will cease to function immediately if a network loop exists. If you want to increase network performance between Switches, you will need to implement Switches that support port trunking such as the TEG-S2400i. Port trunking allows multiple links between 2 or more Switches.
