USB 3.0 technology

TRENDnet is excited to launch the first router that offers 450 Mbps speeds on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wireless bands at the same time. Giving you a total throughput of 900 Mbps! A popular Dual Band network configuration is to assign the low interference 5 GHz band to media center devices, and the more popular 2.4 GHz band to computers and peripherals that are typically only able to connect using the 2.4 GHz frequency. The days of entering complicated encryption codes are now gone; automatically connect to the router over a secure encrypted wireless signal by pressing the WPS button on the router, then on your adapter. If you are looking for the highest performance available on the market today, then look no further.

TRENDnet is pleased to announce the conversion of all TRENDnet wireless Internet cameras from the older less secure Wireless G (802.11g) protocol to the faster and safer Wireless N (802.11n) standard! TRENDnet was the first brand to offer IP cameras with integrated wireless capabilities and is now the first brand to offer a full product portfolio of eight IP cameras with integrated Wireless N functionality. Wireless N, as compared to Wireless G, offers far greater wireless range, greater wireless bandwidth, and support for the most secure wireless encryption standards. When transmitting security video wirelessly, Wireless N technology offers the greatest potential to stream the highest quality video possible. When considering a wireless IP camera installation, Wireless N is your safest bet!

CNETCNET referenced the launch of TRENDnet's compact 450Mbps Dual Band Wireless N USB Adapter (model TEW-684UB) stating, 'The device lets you upgrade your computer to support the faster wireless speed. Its antennas, however, can handle three streams, instead of two, and therefore generate a maximum wireless throughput of 450Mbps. Unless you have a laptop with a built-in Intel 6300/5300 Ultimate N adapter, you can't take advantage of this faster speed...Until now.'
